Best Report
Nuffield Farming Best Report Award

Sponsored by HSBC, this award celebrates excellence in reporting and research. The winner will also be submitted as the UK entry for Nuffield International's Jim Geltch Award for the Best Report. For 2025, the Communications & Operations Committee reviewed 31 reports published since last year. Six finalists emerged: Emily Aitchison, Harry Barnett, Hannah Batty, Sylwia Sobolewska, Roisin Taylor, and Helen Wyman.

After careful deliberation, Claire Hodge, 2019 Scholar and HSBC Regional Agriculture Director, Scotland & Northern Ireland, announced that the 2025 Best Report Award winner was Roisin Taylor, 'Revival and Survival: Is the British cut flower industry prepared for a 2-degree warming world?'

Best Presentation
Nuffield Farming John Stewart Award for Best Presentation

Across two inspiring days, every Scholar presentation was judged by Katie Jones, Editor of the Farmers Guardian, and previous Trustee Anna Bowen. Anna praised the remarkable calibre of speakers and offered a special commendation to the 2025 Next-Gen Scholars for their energy and insight.

After careful consideration, the 2025 John Stewart Award for Best Presentation was awarded to Rachel Yarrow, 'Grass is not a free lunch: lessons in pasture-based dairy for UK goat farmers'.
